Michael Muñoz is one of TEAM Services Corporation’s Vice Presidents. Working closely with his father, Anthony Muñoz, he has responsibility for the organization’s Cincinnati office, including coordinating staffing, managing clients and ensuring the full range of TEAM Services’ offerings are accessible to local clients. He is excited about bringing TEAM Services’ best-in-class services and greater security to major events in the area.
A former marketing manager for Procter & Gamble, Michael Muñoz presently oversees operations at the Muñoz Agency, a full-service sports marketing firm he and his father founded in fall 2011. As president, he assists clients ranging from the National Football League (NFL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and Nike to smaller, start-ups across the country with marketing, brand identity and overall positioning.
During his five years at Procter & Gamble, Michael Muñoz gained global management experience traveling to Russia, China and India. A member of multiple product design teams, including those focused on health and female beauty, he excelled at taking an idea and bringing it to life. He worked on notable brands such as Venus, Metamucil, Prilosec and Pepto-Bismol, among others.
At the same time, Michael Muñoz served as a Hamilton (Ohio) Township Trustee, where, at 24 years old, he was one of the youngest elected officials. In this role, he helped administer a more than $16 million community budget, which covered police, fire, roads and maintenance as well as administrative departments such as human resources and zoning. During Muñoz’ tenure in 2009 Cincinnati Magazine ranked Hamilton Township seventh among Cincinnati suburbs.
In his charitable endeavors, Muñoz has been actively involved in the Anthony Muñoz Foundation (AMF) since 2005. The AMF has raised more than $10 million for at-risk Cincinnati youth. He has also guided the organization’s policy and strategy. Each year, AMF awards six $20,000 scholarships to local youth and hosts a number of leadership and character-building camps, which thousands of teens attend. Muñoz currently serves on the nonprofit’s board of directors.
Like his father Anthony Muñoz, an NFL Hall of Famer and former Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle, Michael Muñoz also played offensive tackle, although at the college level. He served as football team captain two years running and earned 1st team consensus All-American honors. An award-winning scholar-athlete, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed a year of coursework toward a master’s degree in public administration. On three occasions, he received academic honors for NCAA’s Southeastern Conference. Upon his return to Cincinnati, Muñoz enrolled in Miami University’s Richard T. Farmer School of Business and earned a master of business administration.
